WhatsApp Sticker Apps most likely removed from the App Store

Apple has begun deleting all WhatsApp Sticker apps from the App Store as such apps have found to be violating the organization’s guidelines for programmers, based on WABetaInfo — a fan site which monitors upcoming WhatsApp features.

WABetaInfo states the motives Apple is taking this choice to eliminate WhatsApp Sticker apps is that there are lots of apps with similar behavior on the app store, many apps using a similar layout, also, the apps need WhatsApp to be set up when App Store guidelines teach apps shouldn’t need different apps. But no official announcement relating to this was published by Apple or even WhatsApp as yet.

Back in October, WhatsApp declared at a blog article it is adding support for third party programmers to construct sticker apps for WhatsApp for the two Android and iOS users.

Designers have been asked to “release your decal app like another app on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and consumers that download and then install your app will have the ability to begin sending those decals directly from inside WhatsApp.”

Post this statement, the Apple App Store started being bombarded with these decal apps.
